Autograft Bone Harvested from the Iliac Crest use in Challenging Fusion
Allister Williams, MD
Case Report
Dr. Allister R. Williams from Mountain Valley Orthopedics in East Stroudsburg, PA just reported a case of a 42 year old male patient with left leg pain and severe lower back pain. The patient already had a L4-L5 microdiscectomy and later revision and decided to proceed with an interbody fusion. Therefore, Dr. Allister used the Marrow Cellution™ MC-RAN-8C kit to combine bone marrow aspirate with allograft and autograft bone to be placed in the peek spacer and the anterior disc space.

The Marrow Cellution™ System is designed to minimize and eliminate the restrictive limitations associated with “point of care” processing systems which employ inefficient traditional aspiration trocar technology and are regulated as drugs “Advanced Therapies Medicinal Products (ATMP)”. Marrow Cellution™ is a minimally invasive bone/cell enriched autograft access and retrieval system, which does not require additional manipulation or processing, it never leaves the sterile field and provides rich autograft without associated morbidity.
